Appointments

All consultations are by appointment only this may be face to face or telephone. We do try to offer an appointment with the Doctor or Advanced Practitioner of your choice, but this is not always possible.

Please view our Appointment Times for our opening hours.

If you believe you need urgent attention, please make this clear to the receptionist who will make every effort to ensure that you are seen as soon as possible by the Doctor available at the time or can care navigate you to an appropriate alternative service.

Please be prepared to wait as some appointments may run over time, the practice will endeavour to keep to the allocated appointment times. 

There are few appointments daily available for pre booking online.

If, for any reason, you cannot keep your appointment please notify the surgery to enable someone else to utilise the appointment.  A note is made on your records of appointments which are not kept when the surgery has not been notified.  Persistent defaulters will be removed from the list.

If more than one member of the family needs to be seen, please book separate appointments.

On approximately alternate Wednesday afternoons we are closed for staff and Doctor training.  If you ring the surgery you will be advised the number to ring for assistance.

• Call for a home visit or urgent appointment before 10:00

Home Visits

If possible please try to telephone reception before 10:00am if you require a home visit.

Please be prepared to give the receptionist a few details so the Doctor can plan the priority and order of the visits. A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

House visits are only available for patients who are registered as housebound because of illness or disability.

Enhanced Access – Appointments Outside of Practice Hours

Extra appointments are being provided in the evening and at weekends across Doncaster. Conisbrough Group Practice & Mayflower Medical Practice are the allocated hub sites for the South Primary Care Network. We can book you an appointment out of practice hours at a weekend or evening from reception – ask for further details.

These appointments are run by Primary Care Doncaster Limited and are offered from the following locations:

• Mayflower Medical Practice, Bawtry Health Centre, DN10 6RQ
• Same Day Health Centre, Town Centre, DN1 2DJ
